about
My interest in photography started back in 1998 when I was
kindly given a Canon SLR and I have now moved to use digital
format.
My interest in photography quickly turned into a genuine
passion and I went on to undertake a two year course in
Leeds. It was the best thing I ever did. It just so happened
I was getting married in year 2000 and met some hugely talented
wedding photographers whose natural and simple reportage
/ photojournalistic approach really appealed to me. From
this encounter the focus for my own photography was then
established.
I have been covering weddings for the last four years. I
really enjoy meeting people and helping them get the most
stunning and imaginative images from their big day. I thrive
on the stress and buzz of the day and I'm constantly looking
for unusual vantage points. I love to capture the finer
details such as close ups of the shoes, the hair, the menu,
the place settings; in essence, the details that the couple
have put time and effort into but are often forgotten once
the event draws to a close.
I tend to work alone and
use natural light wherever possible. My unobtrusive approach
allows me to capture the real mood of the wedding day and
ultimately the personality of your guests.
